"Remember when artists like Mellencamp and Springsteen brought your senses to life with their savvy brand of rootsy, bluesy, rock n roll music? Good times, right? Well, if like me, you have fond recollections of rocking out to “Small Town” and “Glory Days,” then don’t miss out on this toe-tapping trip down memory lane, courtesy of Jay Pollmann."

- Great Dark Wonder

"A tasteful mixture then, of inspiring melodies, harmonies and down-home goodness that revives your faith in what a solace heartfelt music can be"

- Americana UK

"It's got an infectious beat, and the lyrics are the type you just can't help belt out. If the rest of the album is anything like this track, we're all in for a real treat."

ABOUT

Born in the gritty steel town of Hamilton Ontario and raised in the fields of Haldimand County, Jay Pollmann has intertwined the rural/ urban musical divide fusing folk, roots and blues into a sound he describes as ‘foot stompin' rootsy blues’.

Jay’s latest album titled “Doesn’t Seem So Bad” was recorded in early 2025 with Jimmy Bowskill (Blue Rodeo, Brooks and Bowskill, The Sheepdogs) behind the controls. It is set to be released in July of this year followed by a string of western festival appearances and shows.

With years of performing experience under his belt, Jay has honed a dynamic, original and energetic approach to his live shows wether it be on a festival stage or a house concert in your living room. Storytelling, slide guitar, harmonicas, foot stomping’ and some kick drum are what you can expect these days out of a Jay Pollmann show.

From small town Ontario to St. John’s Newfoundland and as far as Memphis Tennessee,  Jay is forging a path all his own forever chasing down that next great song and inspiration.
